About the department

The Department of Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), established in 2021, is one of the emerging academic departments committed to excellence in the field of Computer Science and Information Technology. Affiliated with Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, the department offers a three-year undergraduate degree programme designed to develop technically competent, professionally skilled, and ethically responsible IT professionals.

The department aims to provide students with a strong academic foundation in computer applications, programming, software development, networking, database management, and emerging technologies. Eligibility Criteria

Admission to the BCA programme is conducted as per the norms prescribed by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University.

Eligibility:

Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination in any stream (Arts, Commerce, or Science) with the prescribed minimum marks.
Mathematics at High School (Class 10) level is mandatory.
Admission is granted on the basis of merit and/or university guidelines.

Ms. Divya Yadav (Session 2023–2024) was awarded the Gold Medal at the 90th Convocation of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University for securing the highest marks in the BCA programme.

Mr. Anmol Dube (Session 2023–2024) was awarded the prestigious NCC ‘C’ Certificate by 1 UP AIR SQN NCC, Agra.
Mr. Anesh Pratap Singh (Session 2024–2025) represented 1 UP AIR SQN NCC, Agra during the Republic Day Camp 2025 in New Delhi and was recognized as the Best Cadet of Uttar Pradesh Directorate. He also: (i) met the Honourable Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar; (ii) Visited the residence of Air Chief Marshal A. P. Singh; (iii) Interacted with State Defence Minister Sanjay Seth. He secured: (i) 1st Rank in All India Best Cadet Drill; (ii) 4th Rank in All India Best Shooter Category; and (iii) 7th Rank in All India Best Cadet Competition
Ms. Neetika Kulshrestra (Session 2024–2025) represented 1 UP AIR SQN NCC, Agra in the All India Vayu Sainik Camp 2024 and was awarded the title of Best Cadet of Agra Group. She also secured 2nd Position in the RDC Best Cadet Competition at Directorate level.
Mr. Updesh Kumar (Session 2024–2025) represented 1 UP AIR SQN NCC, Agra in the All India Vayu Sainik Camp 2024.
Ms. Neetika Kulshrestra (Session 2025–2026) successfully completed Para Basic Course II at the Paratroopers Training School, Agra, and earned the prestigious Para Wings Medal.
Cadet Mr. Rohit Sisodia (Session 2025–2026) participated in a Drone Training Camp, gaining hands-on technical and operational experience.

(d) Sports Achievements

Ms. Krishna Kumari (Session 2024–2025) participated in the Inter-College Volleyball Tournament held at Government PG College and played a vital role in securing victory for her team.
Mr. Komal Verma (Session 2024–2025) won multiple medals during the college annual athletic meet: (i) Silver Medal – 400m Race; (ii) Bronze Medal – 100m Race; (iii) Silver Medal – 800m Race; and (iv) Bronze Medal – 1500m Race
Under the leadership of Mr. Anesh Pratap Singh (Session 2025–2026), the department secured victories in Cricket and Badminton competitions against Agra College and actively contributed to the college softball team.
Mr. Nitin Rathore (Session 2024–2025) was selected for Agniveer Navy 2024, demonstrating excellence in discipline, fitness, and dedication.

(e) Cultural, Literary, and Public Speaking Achievements

Ms. Kanak Chauhan (Session 2024–2025) achieved exceptional success in literary and public speaking competitions: (i) Winner of the Gandhi Seminar Trophy at Unifest organized by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University; (ii) Secured 2nd Prize in the Dr. Harish Chandra Agrawal Memorial Speech Competition, Mathura; (iii) Won 1st Prize in the Achal Vaijyanti National Youth Parliament (District Level); and (iv) Represented students at the State Level National Youth Parliament held at the Vidhan Sabha, Lucknow, where she delivered a speech in the presence of Yogi Adityanath
Ms. Kanak Chauhan (Session 2025–2026), as a student representative, addressed the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, reflecting outstanding leadership and communication abilities.

Ms. Isha Yadav, Ms. Lavisha, and Ms. Hanshika Motwani (Session 2024–2025) secured 2nd Prize at the State Level Rovers and Rangers Competition, bringing recognition and honour to the department.
